Hi xanga-land people.
I haven't been on here for quite a while.
I have some pictures to post. Lately, it seems all I do is school, which i'm sure some of you guys can relate to that. I'm taking some interesting courses this semester, especially Intro to Theology. The course covers a lot of the simple elements of our Christian faith. Its stuff that you hear preached over and over again, only now i'm beginning to understand the origin of some of the fundamental issues and jargon of our Christianity.
I'm quite ready for spring as I imagine everyone is because this cold weather is getting extremely tiresome.
In January, the church youth traveled to Jamaica so I posted a few pictures...
Enjoy..

Travis, Lamar, and I were
the only guys to take a trip out
to the orphanage. The little guys
literally came running for us the
instant they saw us in the orphanage's
playyard. They were incredibly clingy and
almost got mad at us when we tried to set
them down to leave. Breaks your heart.

This is one of the foster kid's at
the mission. I can't even remember his
name. Shame on me.

They were soo cute.

why are we so impervious to the pride in our lives?
i began noticing the element of pride in other people's lives this summer. i wondered why they couldn't see it? i wondered what to do. my respect for them deteriorated. over a course of several weeks, i noticed something else. i had it in my life. it glared at me from other peoples lives cuz it was an area of weakness in mine.

Father, i pray that i could be humble

I wonder who Jesus would vote for if he was here...or would he vote?

I, and I'm sure a bunch of you, are tired of a presidential race that involves lies and lots of negative campaigning. What annoys me more than anything, however, is when people cannot see both sides of an issue. For those of you that think Obama is a terrorist or is linked to them because of Bill Ayers......... read this, http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/he_lied_about_bill_ayers.html, then make your decision. FactCheck.org is a nonpartisan website that focuses on the truth. This will give you the facts then you can "EVALUATE" what you think the truth is. Maybe, you won't change your mind, but you will be wiser because NOW you know what's going on.

By the way, I am NOT endorsing either Barak Obama. In fact, I'm having a REALLY hard time endorsing either candidate.

Tomorrow, which would be Tuesday, I am taking my last three tests for spring semester 2008.
......Strangely, I'm not worried........I'm not stressed.......I just have this feeling that all is well in this world and that God is perfectly in control of everything.
Cool thing is ...........on Wednesday.......after those tests....
our church chorus is taking a tour to Washington D.C. to give four programs. So when you pray tomorrow, I could use prayers for strength as I take tests, and our choir could use prayers as we travel for
       - safety
       - good health
       - patience as we live with each other for a
          couple of days
       - pray especially for our hearts and the
hearts of those that we will be singing to.
       - pray that God might be glorified above all
          else.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
